I'm a foreigner exchange student for about 2 months now and i have done something extremely stupid and shameful. i attempted to steal clothes in a well-known boutique. i have admitted and apologized and taken to the police but i was released (wasn't ask to pay for anything) after they verified my id and my place. Now, i received a mail from the police titled "Belehrung / schriftliche Äußerung im Strafverfahren", and "Ladendiebstahl", my questions are:
1. will I be taken to the court because of this and will I be jailed? This is the thing that I am most scared about
2. the back of the page is filled with boxes and questions. here is the detail: "I have taken note of the enclosed instruction" > In the case of the case at the time of the crime (yes / no) present (yes / no) > Practiced profession at the time of the crime (yes / no) present (yes / no) > Position in the profession > Employer > Economic circumstances > The accused accused has (I admit / I deny) > and finally a big box with "Information on matter (if necessary use supplement)". how should i fulfill the form? Do I just admit it? I translated it but I can't understand it properly.
